1. Introduction

From 23rd to 27th June 2025, EduTech Teachers Network, with support from UNICEF and Airtel Uganda, successfully conducted a five-day virtual Digital Pedagogy Training Workshop. While impactful, teachers requested for a follow up training during school holidays, when teachers can commit more focused time to practice, consolidate skills, and explore additional tools as they lesson-plan for the next term.

This holiday program will build on the foundations of the first training, ensuring participants gain confidence in applying the skills in real teaching contexts and are introduced to advanced tools and strategies.

While the main 4 sessions of the training are scheduled before the school term officially opens on 10th February, the final 5th session for conclusion and showcase has been scheduled early in the school term (Fri 13th Feb 2026) as some teachers may need to access the school facilities and internet to complete the project work covered. Each one will be expected to showcase their online educator sites as a consolidated project with created multimedia content. 2 Extra sessions have also been included for participants to participate in the new ‘EdTech Exchange’ weekly series which will sustain the capacity building and discussions on EdTech use throughout the year.

2. Expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of the training, participants should be able to:

  1. Consolidate skills covered in initial training: Conduct online and offline lessons with support of various digital pedagogy tools.
  2. Create and publish multimedia-rich learning resources for online (sites) and offline (kolibri) access.
  3. Design interactive assessments and gamified learning experiences.
  4. Support innovative use of technology tools in subject-based projects through leaners clubs.
  5. Collaborate with peers through shared projects and a dedicated teacher support forum / network.
