Connecting Educators to Technology Events, Training and Innovation Opportunities
The EduTech Teachers Network (ETN) weekly EdTech Exchange session provided educators with updates on upcoming education technology events, training opportunities, and platforms where teachers and schools can connect, learn, and collaborate.
The session, led by Mr. Rogers Mukalele, focused on how educators can actively participate in the growing digital education ecosystem by joining professional communities, attending technology events, and using digital tools to strengthen teaching, learning, and school development.
Building Stronger EdTech Communities Through the 10Cs Framework
During the session, Rogers introduced the 10Cs framework, emphasizing the importance of community in successful education technology adoption and innovation.
He highlighted that technology integration is not only about acquiring digital tools but also about building networks where educators can share experiences, collaborate, mentor one another, and develop solutions that respond to real educational needs.
Participants were encouraged to contribute ideas, share opportunities, and take an active role in strengthening the EdTech community rather than depending on individual trainers or presenters.
Upcoming Education Technology Events and Opportunities
The session highlighted several upcoming opportunities available for educators, learners, and technology enthusiasts. These included:
WordCamp Jinja: Digital Publishing and Website Development
Educators were invited to participate in WordCamp Jinja, an event focused on WordPress, website development, and digital publishing.
